I got accepted into the 2-year Art & Design course at my local college
BAD-ARSE

Should be an exciting time. It's going to be incredibly difficult, as I'm setting my sights incredibly high (I want to go a great University) and aiming for mainly Distinctions. It's cool, I don't need to sleep anyway, and I'm actually prepared to work hard for this, which is unusual for me.
And I'm gonna need to work hard.

I've left my first college. It was an enriching experience, but one that was ultimately not to my taste. Never do something because you think you're meant to. Do something you want to do.

SO

I'm still ultimately aiming for Illustration, as it covers the wider range of my artistic interests, and I really do want to write and illustrate my own novels, mainly of the slice-of-life, whimsical type

I've recently had a slice of inspiration myself, actually, as it came to my attention that two Peregrine Falcons have made the Enginerium not too far from where I live their home.

So of course I had to go oggle them on a beautiful summers' Saturday.

They didn't do anything, just sat there, but they were still AWESOME.

Yes, I am an amateur bird-watcher. Cry in horror if you must, I'm not ashamed. I LOVE BIRDS.

Still, I've decided to do something along the lines of a small child going to see the falcons in some little town. Inspiration comes from real life, and that geat place Kiwis By Beat!.

Gotta love that webcomic.
